Terms & Conditions
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 31, 2026
1. Overview
Welcome to Alder Parlor. These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of alderparlor.com, including its content, features, customer accounts, products, checkout and related services.
The terms “Alder Parlor”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to ALDER PARLOR GROUP LTD, trading as Alder Parlor. The terms “you” and “your” refer to the person accessing the website or placing an order.
By accessing our website, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and acknowledge our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
If you do not agree with these terms, you should not place an order or continue using the website.
2. About Alder Parlor
Alder Parlor is a professional online retailer operated by ALDER PARLOR GROUP LTD, a private limited company registered in:
Our registered office is 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ.
Company registration number: 17383142
Further company information is available in our Legal Notice.
3. Scope of These Terms
These terms apply to consumer purchases made through our website. Our products are intended for personal and household use and are not offered under these terms for commercial resale.
Additional information displayed on a product page, at checkout, in an order confirmation or in a policy linked from these terms may also form part of the contract between you and Alder Parlor.
Our relevant policies include our Shipping Policy, Return & Refund Policy, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
If a provision of these terms conflicts with a mandatory consumer right under the law applicable to you, the mandatory consumer right will take priority.
4. Eligibility to Purchase
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to place an order with Alder Parlor.
Our products and purchasing services are not directed at children. A person under the age of 18 may browse the website only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian but may not independently place an order.
By placing an order, you confirm that you satisfy these requirements and that the information you provide is truthful, complete and current.
5. Customer Accounts
You may be able to shop as a guest or create a customer account, depending on the options made available through Shopify.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for taking reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access. Please notify support@alderparlor.com promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
You must not transfer, sell or make your account available to another person. We may ask you to verify your identity before changing account information or processing a request involving personal or order data.
Our handling of account information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
6. Product Information
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, measurements, materials, colours, availability and prices are accurate and understandable.
Colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on your screen, device settings, lighting and manufacturing batch. Minor differences that do not materially affect the product’s description, quality or intended use will not necessarily constitute a defect.
Measurements are approximate unless expressly stated otherwise. Customers should review the relevant product page and our Size & Fit Guide before ordering.
Nothing in this section permits us to supply goods that are materially different from their description or that fail to meet mandatory standards of satisfactory quality, conformity, durability or fitness for their intended purpose.
7. Product Availability
All products are subject to availability. Placing a product in your basket does not reserve it.
We may discontinue a product or reasonably limit quantities where necessary to manage availability, prevent fraudulent purchasing, address safety concerns or prevent purchases apparently intended for unauthorised commercial resale.
If a product becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will contact you. We may offer an alternative product or store credit, but no substitution or store credit will be imposed without your agreement.
If you do not accept an alternative, we will cancel the unavailable item and refund the amount paid for it to your original payment method.
8. Placing an Order
When you submit an order, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your basket under these Terms & Conditions.
An automated order acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order. It does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted.
Unless we expressly tell you otherwise, the contract for an item is formed when we send you a dispatch confirmation for that item. If items are dispatched separately, a separate contract may be formed for each dispatched item.
Before dispatch, we may decline an order for a legitimate reason, including unavailable stock, unsuccessful payment, suspected fraud, an obvious pricing or description error, delivery restrictions, product safety concerns, legal requirements or reasonable evidence that the purchase is intended for unauthorised resale.
We will not decline orders for an unlawful or discriminatory reason.
If we decline an order after payment has been taken, we will return the relevant amount to the original payment method without undue delay.
9. Reviewing Your Order
Please review your products, sizes, quantities, delivery address and contact information before submitting your order.
If you need to correct or cancel an order, contact orders@alderparlor.com immediately. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the request, but changes may not be possible after fulfilment or dispatch has begun.
Failure to change an order before dispatch does not remove any statutory cancellation, withdrawal, return or conformity rights that apply to you.
10. Prices and Currencies
Product prices are displayed in the currency selected or made available for your location. We currently support euros and pounds sterling where available through Shopify Markets.
Currency conversions may be performed automatically by Shopify or an applicable payment provider. The final currency and amount payable will be shown before you submit your order.
The total amount payable, including applicable taxes, mandatory charges and delivery costs collected by Alder Parlor, will be displayed before you place your order.
If a charge cannot reasonably be calculated in advance, we will inform you before purchase that an additional charge may apply and explain how it will be determined.
You will not be responsible for optional or additional charges that you did not actively select or agree to.
11. Pricing Errors
Although we take reasonable care, an obvious pricing, discount or product-description error may occasionally occur.
If we identify an error before accepting your order, we will contact you and give you the option to place the order at the correct price or cancel it.
If an order has already been accepted, we will not automatically change the agreed price. We will assess the circumstances and act in accordance with applicable contract and consumer law.
Nothing in this section allows Alder Parlor to cancel an accepted order merely because the product later becomes less profitable or is offered at a different price.
12. Payments
Payments are processed through Shopify Payments or another payment method displayed at checkout, which may include eligible debit cards, credit cards and digital wallets.
Alder Parlor is the seller of the products. Shopify and the relevant payment providers supply payment-processing technology but do not replace Alder Parlor as the party responsible for the sale.
You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method selected and that the billing information provided is accurate.
Your payment provider may place an authorisation hold or complete the charge before dispatch. If we do not accept your order, any amount collected will be refunded and any authorisation hold will be released in accordance with the payment provider’s processing times.
We are not responsible for delays caused solely by your bank or payment provider after Alder Parlor has properly issued a refund, but we will provide reasonable assistance if you experience a problem.
13. Payment Security and Fraud Prevention
Orders may be subject to automated or manual fraud-prevention checks carried out by Alder Parlor, Shopify, payment providers or specialist service providers.
Where reasonably necessary, we may ask you to confirm your identity, billing information or delivery address. We will not request your complete password or complete payment-card security credentials by email.
We may temporarily hold or decline an order where there are reasonable grounds to suspect unauthorised payment, identity misuse, fraud or other unlawful activity.
Information used for security and fraud prevention will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
14. Promotions and Discount Codes
Promotions and discount codes may be subject to an expiry date, minimum order value, eligible product selection, destination restriction or other conditions disclosed with the offer.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, discount codes cannot be combined, exchanged for cash, applied retrospectively or used for unauthorised commercial purchases.
A promotion does not reduce your statutory rights. Products purchased during a sale remain protected by applicable consumer law and our Return & Refund Policy.
We may withdraw or correct a promotion before an order is placed if it contains an error or is being used fraudulently. We will not retrospectively remove a valid promotion from an order that has already been accepted.
15. Shipping and Delivery
Orders are delivered in accordance with our Shipping Policy and the delivery information displayed before checkout.
Our usual processing period is 1–2 business days. Standard delivery is normally estimated at 8–12 business days after dispatch. These periods may vary according to destination, carrier operations, customs processing and circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where required by applicable law, goods will be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days after the contract is concluded unless a different period has been expressly agreed.
Depending on product availability and destination, products may be dispatched through selected international fulfilment facilities. This does not change Alder Parlor’s status or obligations as the seller.
Alder Parlor remains responsible for the risk of loss or damage until you, or a person identified by you other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the goods, except where you independently appoint a carrier that was not offered by us.
You can monitor an eligible shipment through our Track Your Order page.
16. Taxes, Duties and Import Costs
Any taxes, delivery costs or import charges that Alder Parlor is required or has agreed to collect will be included or displayed before you complete your purchase.
Where a delivery option is identified as including taxes and duties, Alder Parlor or its appointed logistics partners will arrange those import costs before delivery.
If a carrier unexpectedly requests an import payment that was not disclosed at checkout, contact orders@alderparlor.com before paying or refusing the parcel.
Further information is available in our Shipping Information and Shipping Policy.
17. Cancellation Before Dispatch
You may request cancellation before dispatch by contacting orders@alderparlor.com. We will make reasonable efforts to stop fulfilment, but cancellation before dispatch cannot be guaranteed once processing has begun.
If we successfully cancel the order, any amount collected for the cancelled products will be refunded to the original payment method.
If the order has already been dispatched, you may use the return or statutory withdrawal procedure described in our Return & Refund Policy.
18. Right of Withdrawal and Voluntary Returns
Alder Parlor offers an additional 30-day return period beginning on the date you receive the product, subject to the conditions in our Return & Refund Policy.
For consumers in the European Union and other jurisdictions providing a statutory cooling-off right, this voluntary policy operates in addition to, and does not replace, the statutory right to withdraw from an eligible distance contract.
Eligible European Union consumers generally have at least 14 days, beginning after delivery, to notify us that they wish to withdraw without providing a reason.
European Union consumers may exercise this right through the online withdrawal function made available on our Returns & Refunds page, by using the applicable model withdrawal form or by sending an unambiguous withdrawal request to returns@alderparlor.com.
Sale products retain all mandatory statutory withdrawal and conformity rights. Any voluntary conditions affecting sale products will be clearly stated without reducing those rights.
19. Returns and Refunds
Return requests must be submitted through our Returns & Refunds page or by contacting returns@alderparlor.com.
Do not send a product to our registered office or to an address found on a parcel without receiving return instructions. Returns are handled through approved return facilities, and the correct address will be provided after the request is reviewed.
Requiring return instructions does not prevent you from exercising a statutory cancellation or withdrawal right by clearly notifying us within the applicable period.
Where a refund is due, it will normally be issued to the original payment method. Store credit or an exchange will be provided only where you choose or agree to that remedy, except where another remedy is permitted by applicable law.
Complete eligibility requirements, procedures and refund periods are contained in our Return & Refund Policy.
20. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products
Products must be as described, of satisfactory quality, fit for their intended purpose and compliant with any other mandatory legal standards applicable to the sale.
If an item is defective, damaged, incomplete or different from what you ordered, contact returns@alderparlor.com. We may reasonably request your order number, a description and photographs or video where appropriate and possible.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, available remedies may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund. Alder Parlor will cover reasonable return and replacement delivery costs for a valid claim involving defective, damaged, incorrect or non-conforming goods.
The 30-day voluntary return policy is separate from your statutory rights concerning faulty or non-conforming goods. Expiry of the voluntary return period does not automatically end those statutory rights.
21. Product Care and Customer Misuse
Please follow any care instructions, safety information and reasonable product-use guidance supplied with the product or displayed on its product page.
Alder Parlor is not responsible for damage caused solely by misuse, accidental damage after delivery, improper storage, unauthorised alteration, failure to follow clear care instructions or ordinary wear and tear.
This section does not apply where the product was defective, unsafe, incorrectly described or insufficiently durable under applicable law.
22. Reviews and Customer Content
Where review functionality is available, only customers with genuine experience of the relevant product or service may submit a review.
Reviews must be honest and must not include unlawful, threatening, discriminatory, defamatory, fraudulent or infringing material. Reviews must disclose any discount, free product, payment or other incentive connected with their submission.
We may moderate or remove content where reasonably necessary to address illegality, fraud, spam, personal information, harassment, intellectual-property infringement, irrelevant content or a violation of these terms. We will not remove a genuine negative review merely because it is unfavourable.
By submitting text as a review, you grant Alder Parlor a non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free licence to display, reproduce and format that review for the operation and promotion of our store.
Photographs, videos or other identifiable customer content will not be used in external advertising without any additional permission required by applicable privacy, publicity or intellectual-property law.
You remain the owner of your original content. You confirm that you have the right to submit it and that its use as described will not infringe another person’s rights.
23. Intellectual Property
The Alder Parlor name, brand, logo, website design, product photographs, videos, graphics, written descriptions and other original website content are owned by or licensed to ALDER PARLOR GROUP LTD and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law.
You may access and use the website for personal, non-commercial shopping purposes.
Without our prior written permission, you must not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, commercially exploit, modify or use our photographs, videos, product descriptions, branding or website content to advertise or sell the same or similar products.
You must not remove ownership notices, present Alder Parlor content as your own or use our brand in a manner likely to mislead customers about an affiliation, endorsement or business relationship.
Requests for permission may be sent to contact@alderparlor.com.
24. Automated Access and Content Extraction
You must not use bots, scraping tools, automated agents, data-extraction systems or artificial-intelligence tools to systematically copy, collect, reproduce or commercially exploit Alder Parlor content without prior written permission.
You must not circumvent technical restrictions, security controls, rate limits, robot instructions or access controls.
This section does not prohibit ordinary search-engine indexing authorised by our technical settings or any activity that cannot lawfully be restricted.
25. Prohibited Uses
You must not use our website or services to commit fraud, make unauthorised payments, distribute malware, interfere with website security, impersonate another person, harass others, collect personal information unlawfully or infringe intellectual-property rights.
You must not submit false information, create accounts using another person’s identity, attempt to obtain products without payment or abuse promotional, refund, returns or chargeback procedures.
We may take reasonable protective measures, including holding an order, restricting access, suspending an account or reporting suspected unlawful conduct, where supported by reasonable evidence.
26. Third-Party Services and Links
Our website may contain links or integrations provided by payment services, delivery companies, social networks, review services or other third parties.
Third-party websites and services may have their own terms and privacy policies. Alder Parlor does not control independent third-party websites merely because we provide a link to them.
We are not responsible for an independent third-party service that you choose to access outside our store. However, we remain responsible for our own obligations and for service providers used by us to perform our contract with you where applicable law places that responsibility on Alder Parlor.
27. Relationship with Shopify
Our online store is powered by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform and related technology that allows us to offer products and process transactions.
Purchases made through our store are made directly from Alder Parlor. Shopify is not the seller of Alder Parlor products and is not responsible for fulfilling your order, processing your return as seller or resolving a product-conformity claim.
Shopify may separately process personal information and provide payment, account or platform functionality. Further information is available in our Privacy Policy.
Nothing in this section excludes any obligation that Shopify may independently have to you under applicable law.
28. Privacy and Cookies
Personal information collected through the website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Our use of cookies, pixels and similar technologies is explained in our Cookie Policy. Where consent is required, non-essential technologies will be controlled through the consent choices available on the website.
Privacy requests may be sent to contact@alderparlor.com.
29. Website Availability
We take reasonable steps to maintain the website and keep its information secure and available. We do not promise that the website will always operate without interruption or technical error.
We may temporarily suspend part of the website for maintenance, security, updates, legal compliance or events outside our reasonable control.
Website interruption will not affect rights relating to an order that has already been accepted. If an interruption prevents you from exercising a time-sensitive legal right, contact support@alderparlor.com or returns@alderparlor.com.
30. Our Responsibility to You
Alder Parlor is responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
A loss is foreseeable if it was an obvious consequence of the breach or if both you and Alder Parlor knew that it might occur when the contract was formed.
Because products sold under these terms are intended for personal and household use, we are not responsible for business losses such as loss of profit, business interruption or loss of commercial opportunity arising from a purchase made as a consumer.
We are not responsible for loss caused solely by inaccurate information supplied by you, customer misuse, an unauthorised alteration made after delivery or failure to follow clear product-care instructions.
Alder Parlor does not exclude or limit responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, defective products where liability cannot be excluded, breach of mandatory consumer rights or any other responsibility that the law does not allow us to exclude.
Nothing in these terms removes your right to receive goods that conform to the contract or your right to an available statutory remedy when they do not.
31. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
We will not be responsible for a delay caused solely by an event outside our reasonable control where we could not reasonably have prevented or avoided its effects.
Examples may include severe weather, natural disasters, widespread transport disruption, customs-system failures, government restrictions, civil emergencies or major telecommunications outages.
If such an event affects an accepted order, we will take reasonable steps to reduce the delay, keep affected customers informed and resume performance as soon as reasonably possible.
This section does not remove a statutory right to cancel or receive a refund where delivery is not completed within the legally required or expressly agreed period.
32. Account Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to a customer account where reasonably necessary because of fraud, unlawful conduct, security risk, repeated material violation of these terms or abuse directed at customers, staff or service providers.
Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to contact us. Immediate action may be taken where necessary to prevent fraud, security harm or unlawful conduct.
Suspension or termination of an account does not remove rights relating to an accepted order, valid refund, privacy request or existing legal claim.
33. Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with a product, order or service, please contact us first so that we have an opportunity to resolve the matter.
Complaints may be submitted through our Contact Us page or by emailing returns@alderparlor.com.
Please provide your name, order number, a description of the issue and the outcome you are seeking. We will acknowledge and assess complaints within a reasonable period.
Alder Parlor is not currently affiliated with a specific voluntary alternative dispute resolution body. Where applicable law requires us to identify or participate in a competent dispute-resolution procedure, we will provide the relevant information.
This section does not prevent you from using a statutory complaint procedure, consumer authority, alternative dispute mechanism or court available to you.
34. Governing Law and Courts
These Terms & Conditions and contracts formed through our website are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident outside England and Wales, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections provided by the law of the country in which you habitually reside where those protections apply.
Consumers resident in the United Kingdom may bring proceedings in the courts available under applicable UK jurisdiction rules.
Consumers resident in the European Union or European Economic Area may bring proceedings in their country of habitual residence where applicable consumer-jurisdiction law permits. Alder Parlor will bring proceedings against a consumer only in a court permitted by mandatory applicable law.
35. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in law, our services, security requirements, payment methods or business operations.
The version applicable to an order will normally be the version presented or made available when that order was placed. Later changes will not retrospectively alter an accepted order unless required by law or expressly agreed with you.
If a change materially affects an ongoing service or customer right, we will provide notice where required by applicable law.
The most recent version and its update date will remain available on this page.
36. Transfer of Our Rights
We may transfer our rights or obligations under a contract as part of a legitimate business reorganisation, sale or transfer, provided that doing so does not reduce your contractual or statutory rights.
Where legally required or materially relevant, we will notify you of the transfer.
You may transfer your rights where permitted by applicable law. You may not transfer a customer account to another person in a manner that compromises account or payment security.
37. Severability
If a court or competent authority determines that part of these terms is unlawful or unenforceable, that part will be treated as removed or adjusted only to the extent necessary. The remaining provisions will continue to apply.
38. No Waiver
If Alder Parlor does not immediately enforce a provision of these terms, this does not automatically mean that we have waived it.
Likewise, nothing in these terms prevents you from exercising a mandatory consumer right merely because you did not exercise it immediately, provided that any applicable legal time limit is respected.
39. Entire Agreement
These Terms & Conditions, the relevant product page, the information presented at checkout, your order confirmation and the policies incorporated by reference form the agreement relating to your purchase.
Nothing in this section excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or legally binding information that we were required to provide before the purchase.
40. Contact Information

Order and delivery enquiries may be sent to orders@alderparlor.com.
