Alder Parlor wants online shopping to feel clear, comfortable and welcoming to as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies or experience visual, hearing, motor or cognitive disabilities.
Our accessibility direction
We are working towards aligning our website with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.2, Level AA. These guidelines provide a recognised framework for making digital content more perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.
Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-time project. As our website, products and services continue to develop, we will keep reviewing and improving the experience.
What we are working on
Our accessibility work includes improving keyboard navigation, visible focus indicators, colour contrast, page structure, headings, form labels, link descriptions, image alternatives, mobile responsiveness and compatibility with commonly used assistive technologies.
We also aim to use clear language, avoid unnecessary movement or flashing content, and make important information available without relying only on colour, sound or images.
Current status
At the date of this statement, Alder Parlor is working towards WCAG 2.2 Level AA and does not yet make a claim of full conformance across every page, feature and third-party component.
Some areas may still present accessibility difficulties while we continue reviewing the website. If you encounter a barrier, please let us know so that we can investigate it and, where reasonably possible, provide the information or service in another accessible way.
Third-party features
Some parts of the website may be provided by third parties, such as payment services, review tools, embedded content, chat features or Shopify applications. Although we do not control every technical aspect of these services, we consider accessibility when selecting and reviewing the tools used on our website.
